Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck 163 Classique Solitaire Hematite Steel Rollerball Pen, which comes with an izods presentation box. The pen has been regularly used, but is still presented in very good condition.

Th clip ring features both serial number and Germany markings.

As mentioned, this particular pencil is the rare Hematite solitaire which was only produced for a limited period of time and rarely appears for sale. It’s one of those pencils that really has to be seen to be fully appreciated, but we’ll try and convey the overall look… hematite is the main ore of iron and comes in myriad of tones, ranging from black, to steely grey and reddish brown. This makes for a captivating appearance when used on the cap of this pen and it contrasts brilliantly with the bright stainless steel. Being an organic substance, every single pencil varies slightly and if you see the cap in the light it almost sparkles.

The pen is fitted with a new rollerball refill, but if you’d rather use it as a fineliner, then you’d simply have to purchase the relevant refill – these are widely available online.
