Montblanc Meisterstuck 162 LeGrand Vermeil Bordeaux Rollerball Pen

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck 162 LeGrand Bordeaux Vermeil Rollerball Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box. The pen was serviced by Montblanc in July 2021, where the very top of the cap (above the clip ring) was replaced along with the barrel. The resin elements are presented in excellent condition, with the metal cap being in lovely condition (some small marks on the section without the pinstripe pattern). The service paperwork is included, although to be entirely honest we had an accident with a cup of coffee whilst writing this listing and as such the edges of the paperwork are coffee marked!

We’ve always been a huge admirer of the Bordeaux resin writing instruments and sadly as these were only produced for a limited amount of time, firstly in the early 80’s and then for a second time in the 1990’s – they’re now more difficult to find, with most examples looking pretty tired.

This is the rare Vermeil version (gold-plated over sterling silver), which works brilliantly with the dark red tones of the resin.

Both Germany and serial number markings can be found on the clip ring.
