Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstück 162 LeGrand 75th Anniversary Special Edition Rollerball Pen, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box (the outer label is a mismatch for the Classique version), CD and unstamped service guide. The pen has been very lightly used and is presented in overall fantastic condition.

The 75th anniversary writing instruments were released in 1999 to commemorate 75 years of the Meisterstuck range (launched in 1924). There were two main editions available, one being the unlimited yellow gold ‘special edition’ pens and then the rose gold ‘limited edition’ pens, of which only 1924 examples were produced. This is the yellow gold special edition.

To distinguish these anniversary editions from the usual offerings, you’ll find a second gold band around the top of the clip, in which is mounted a diamond and the inscription ’75 years of passion and soul’ – with the diamond being the ‘o’ in passion.

The pen is fitted with a new rollerball refill. If you’d rather use it as a fineliner, then you’d simply have to purchase the relevant refill – these are widely available online.
