Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstück 149 Gold-Coated Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box, information booklet and dated card. The pen has been regularly, but carefully used over the years, and is presented in overall lovely condition.
This is a straightforward pen to date, as it features a first generation plastic feed, two-piece barrel, brass piston threads and 18k bi-tone nib. These features would place it between 1990-94, but to back up the date on the card, the pen also has the first generation serial number (shorter and in a different font), which would place it between 1991-92.
The pen is fitted with an 18k bi-tone fine nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
The important details are as follows…
18k Bi-Tone Fine Nib
Piston Filling System
Montblanc Presentation Box included
Lovely Condition
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
