Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstück 149 Gold-Coated Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outer). The pen has been lightly used and is presented in overall excellent condition – the hinges on the presentation box are broken. The stamped booklet, confirms first purchase on 30th September 1989.
This is a straightforward pen to date, as it features a split ebonite feed, two-piece barrel, black piston threads and 14k bi-tone nib – so placing it as a 1985 production pen. The clip ring features only Germany markings.
The pen is fitted with a 14k bi-tone fine nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
