Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstück 149 Gold-Coated Fountain Pen, which comes with an izods presentation box. The pen has been carefully used over the years and is presented in lovely condition. The nib has lost it’s platinum-plating to define the different elements, but it has no affect on the writing experience.
This is a straightforward pen to date, as it features a solid ebonite feed, single-piece barrel, black piston threads and 14c bi-tone nib – so placing it between 1972-75. The clip ring features only Germany markings.
The pen is fitted with a 14c medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
The important details are as follows…

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
