Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck 147 Traveller Bordeaux Gold Fountain Pen, which comes with a Montblanc presentation box (including outer) and unstamped service guide – confirming first purchase on 8th February 1996… also included is a black leather Traveller pouch, which still has its gold-coloured cartridges. The pen has barely been used and is presented in wonderful condition. The sticker on the outside of the box doesn’t match the pen, as it refers to the Bordeaux version.
The 147 Traveller, if you’re not familiar with it, is a LeGrand (146) sized fountain pen, but the filling system is cartridge only. It’s a very clever design, as to load the cartridges you simply unscrew the end of the pen, which then reveals an internal metal holding cage, where you can then slot in the cartridges.
The clip ring features both serial number and Germany markings.
The pen is fitted with a 14k medium bi-tone nib and it’s a cartridge only filler.
The important details are as follows…
– Wonderful Condition
– Serial Number and Germany markings present
– Montblanc Presentation Box
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
