Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck 147 Traveller Gold Line Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc box (including outer), information booklet (confirming first purchase on 2nd March 2004) and black leather Traveller pouch,. The pen has been very lightly used and is presented in overall fantastic condition – the M sticker, confirming a medium nib, remains on the barrel. There is the tiniest gap between the barrel and the gold trim ring, we mention it for a complete description, but likely most people wouldn’t even notice.
The 147 Traveller, if you’re not familiar with it, is a LeGrand (146) sized fountain pen, but the filling system is cartridge only. It’s a very clever design, as to load the cartridges you simply unscrew the end of the pen, which then reveals an internal metal holding cage, where you can then slot in the cartridges.
The clip ring features both serial number and Germany markings.
The pen is fitted with a 14k medium bi-tone nib and it’s a cartridge only filler.
The important details are as follows…
– Fantastic Condition
– Serial Number and Germany markings present
– Montblanc Presentation Box
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
