Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck Gold Line 146 LeGrand Fountain Pen, which comes with an izods presentation box. The pen has just returned from being serviced by Montblanc in Hamburg (the paperwork will be supplied to the purchaser), where the barrel and piston cone were replaced. The remainder of the pen is in very good condition, with some usage marks on the cap.
This example originally dates between 1991-92, with the first generation serial number (shorter and in a different font) along with Germany markings. The pen is fitted with a 14k fine nib (towards a medium).
The 146 is a piston filling pen, which means that bottled ink is your choice here.
The important details are as follows…
– 14C Monotone Fine (towards a medium) Nib
– izods Presentation Box
– Very Good Condition
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
