Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck 146 LeGrand Gold Line Fountain Pen, which comes with an izods presentation box. The pen has just returned from being serviced by Montblanc in Hamburg, where the barrel was also replaced – the service warranty paperwork will be supplied to the purchaser. The rest of the pen is presented in overall lovely condition.

The 146 is a piston filling pen, which means that bottled ink is your choice here.

The pen is fitted with an 18k bi-tone fine nib. Both serial number and W. Germany markings can be found on the clip ring. This is a first generation serial number pen, as it’s the shorter version, so with W.Germany markings, this gives a production date of 1991-2.

The important details are as follows…

– 18k Bi-Tone Fine (heading towards a medium) Nib

– izods Presentation Box

– Serial Number and W.Germany markings present

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
