Montblanc Meisterstuck 144 Green Striated Celluloid Fountain Pen - EF Nib

1 in stock

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this glorious Montblanc Meisterstuck 144 Green Striated Celluloid Fountain Pen, which comes with its presentation box. Considering it’s some 70 year age, the pen is presented in overall lovely condition – there is a little bit of distortion to the cap rings, but they’re not loose. The end of the feed has a tiny chip in it, but again this doesn’t affect the writing experience.

The Green Striated pens were produced during the 1950s and are absolutely wonderful. The barrel and cap are crafted from celluloid, which has myriad of green tones. The trim is gold-plated and in overall lovely condition – there is some light wear to the clip and rings. The main cap ring can be turned if you actively try to, but it’s not loose in any way.

The piston cone has heat stamp markings of 144G (glatte, meaning smooth) and EF. It’s a telescopic piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink – the telescopic system is a two-stage one, so to fill you initially turn the piston cone anti-clockwise, then you’ll will feel it reach the end of the first stage, so turn it again anti-clockwise to activate the piston. The correct ski-slope style feed is fitted to the pen.

The important details are as follows…

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
