Montblanc Meisterstuck 144 Classique Bordeaux Fountain Pen – Black Section

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck 144 Classique Bordeaux Gold-Coated Fountain Pen, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pen has been carefully used over the years and is presented in overall lovely condition.

 

 

 

 

We’ve always been a huge admirer of the Bordeaux resin writing instruments and sadly as these were only produced for a limited amount of time, firstly in the early 80’s and then for a second time in the 1990’s – they’re now more difficult to find, with most examples looking pretty tired.

 

 

 

 

This is an interesting pen, as it had elements from both the early part of production and then later – as such, it was likely produced in the very early 90’s when some pens used elements from both. So it has the first-generation black section along with the push-in converter, but then the current style bi-tone nib, rather than monotone.

 

 

 

 

The pen is fitted with a 14k medium bi-tone nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
