Ever year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2015 it was the legendary Russian author, Leo Tolstoy – famous for works such a “War and Peace” and “Anna Karenina”.
The design of the pencil takes its inspiration from the Tolstoy’s family home. The pillars at the entrance of the estate are depicted by the shape of the top of the cap. His philosophy of working the land is symbolised by the handcrafted, hammered silver-plated barrel.
The dark grey resin cap and mottled blue elements are a nod to the colours used on the covers of his first major works. The design on the cap ring is inspired by a traditional woven Russian pattern.
The pencil is fitted with 0.7mm leads.
