Montblanc Jules Verne Writers Limited Edition Fountain Pen

Out of stock

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Jules Verne Writers Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its book style presentation box (including outers) and booklet (the back page has been removed). The pen has barley been used and is presented in wonderful condition – the M sticker, confirming a medium nib, can still be found on the piston cone.

Ever year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2003 it was the legendary novelist, Jules Verne. Credited with creating the genre of science fiction, his most famous novel is “Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea”.

The design of the pen takes its inspiration from this novel, with the barrel and cap being crafted from polished lacquer, which is finished in a mesmerising blue. The guilloche pattern reflects the waves of the ocean and the platinum-plated trim works perfectly as a contrast. Verne’s signature can be found on the cap.

The Jules Verne is widely recognised as one of the most visually striking of all the Writers Editions and the depth of the blue barrel and cap has to be seen to be fully appreciated.

The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.

As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
