Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Jules Verne Writers Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with an izods presentation box. The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition.

Ever year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2003 it was the legendary novelist, Jules Verne. Credited with creating the genre of science fiction, his most famous novel is “Twent Thousand Leagues under the Sea”.

The design of the pen takes its inspiration from this novel, with the barrel and cap being crafted from polished lacquer, which is finished in a mesmerising blue. The guilloche pattern reflects the waves of the ocean and the platinum-plated trim works perfectly as a contrast. Verne’s signature can be found on the cap.

The 18k oblique double broad (OBB) nib features an engraving of a divers helmet and being a piston filler, your choice here is bottled ink.

The Jules Verne is widely recognised as one of the most visually striking of all the Writers Editions and the depth of the blue barrel and cap has to be seen to be fully appreciated.
