Montblanc Jules Verne Writers Edition FP, BP, MP Set – UNUSED

 

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Jules Verne Writers Edition Fountain Pen, Mechanical Pencil and Ballpoint Set which comes with its Montblanc book style presentation box (including outer) and unstamped booklet. All three writing instruments have never been used and are presented in fantastic condition – the M sticker, confirming a medium nib, can still be found on the piston cone of the fountain pen.

 

 

 

 

Ever year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2003 it was the legendary novelist, Jules Verne. Credited with creating the genre of science fiction, his most famous novel is “Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea”.

 

 

 

 

The design of the pen takes its inspiration from this novel, with the barrel and cap being crafted from polished lacquer, which is finished in a mesmerising blue. The guilloche pattern reflects the waves of the ocean and the platinum-plated trim works perfectly as a contrast. Verne’s signature can be found on the cap.

 

 

 

 

The Jules Verne is widely recognised as one of the most visually striking of all the Writers Editions and the depth of the blue barrel and cap has to be seen to be fully appreciated.

 

 

 

 

The fountain pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink. The ballpoint comes with a new refill and the pencil has 0.7mm leads.
