Montblanc Imperial Dragon 888 Solid Gold Limited Edition Fountain Pen - UNUSED

Out of stock

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful legendary Montblanc Imperial Dragon 888 Solid Gold Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with a Writers Edition style Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and information documents – confirming first purchase on 4th April 1994. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition. Only 888 pens were produced and this is number 325. The M sticker, confirming a medium nib, can still be found on the barrel.

The Imperial Dragon was released in 1993 and created especially for the Asian market. It was based on the Agatha Christie, which featured a serpent clip, but because this is an unpopular creature in Asia, the Imperial Dragon was designed instead. This is the exceptionally rare 888 version, where the Dragon clip and trim are crafted from solid 18k gold. The Dragons eyes are set with sapphires.

The pen features a 18k medium nib, which continues the dragon theme and it’s a piston filling pen, so bottled ink is your choice here.

The important details are as follows…

Date: 1993

Condition: Essentially As New

Nib: Medium

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
