Montblanc Homage to Brothers Grimm Writers Edition Fountain Pen – UNUSED – OBB

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Montblanc Homage to Brothers Grimm Writers Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its three book style Montblanc presentation boxes (including outers) and information booklet – confirming first purchase on 22nd August 2022. Only 9800 were produced and this is number 3538. We purchased this pen from new and then had it sent to Hamburg for a nib exchange to a glorious OBB. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition.

 

 

 

Ever year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers edition. In 2022 it was Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, better known as the Brothers Grimm.

 

 

 

The pen celebrates their work on German and European folk tales, including Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty.

 

 

 

The barrel is made to resemble a hiking stick, with the colour black denoting the darkness of the woods (a common theme in Brothers Grimm folklore). They viewed their work as ‘research into roots’, hence the wavey design, with it also being inspired by Rapunzel’s hair. The platinum-coated clip is shaped like a piece of wood and when turned it resembles the profile silhouette of the brothers.

 

 

 

The fountain pen is fitted with an 18k oblique double broad nib, which is finely engrabed with flames. It’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
