Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Heritage Collection Rouge et Noir Tropic Brown Special Edition Rollerball Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outer) and stamped information booklet – confirming first purchase on 7th February 2019. The pen has barely been used and is presented in virtually as new condition.
The Rouge et Noir name dates back to 1906 and Montblanc have resurrected the name for the 110th anniversary. The most obvious nod to these historical offerings is the winding serpent clip (featuring garnet eyes), which on this model is Champagne gold-coated. The resin on this example is brown, rather than the more traditional black, and here at izods we have to say we love the difference! The brown was chosen to represent how vintage black ebonite pens age when in sunny and humid environments.
The pen is fitted with a new rollerball refill. If you’d rather use it as a fineliner, then you’d simply have to purchase the relevant refill – these are widely available online.
The important details are as follows…
Condition: Virtually As New
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
