Thanks very much for looking at this wonderful Montblanc Heritage Collection Rouge et Noir Serpent Ebonite Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and unstamped booklet. The pen was fully sealed and was only taken out of this outer seal for photos, hence it’s presented in as new condition. Only 1906 were produced and this is number 1652.
The Rouge et Noir name dates back to 1906 and Montblanc resurrected the name for the 110th anniversary. This is the glorious Ebonite version, which further adds to this historical feel – the serpent clip is finished with two glinting ruby eyes.
The pen is a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
The 18k medium nib features fine engraving of a serpent and the coral hued domed snowcap offering a further nod to the collections historical origins.
The important details are as follows…
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
