Thanks very much for looking at this wonderful Montblanc Heritage Collection Rouge et Noir Ebonite Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and unstamped service guide. The pen has been lightly used and is presented in overall excellent condition. Only 1906 examples were produced and this is number 1573.
The Rouge et Noir name dates back to 1906 and Montblanc resurrected the name for the 110th anniversary. The clip has an aged appearance which is created using a galvanic and stripping process and the serpents eyes are set with rubies. The pen is crafted from ebonite, which has a wonderful warmth and comfort to it when writing.
The 18k medium nib features fine engraving of a serpent and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
The important details are as follows…
– 18k Medium Nib
– Montblanc Presentation Box
– Limitation number markings present
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
