Montblanc Heritage 1912 Fountain Pen – Serviced by Montblanc May 2021

Thanks very much for looking at this wonderful Montblanc Heritage Collection 1912 Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and stamped service guide – confirming first purchase on 12th July 2017. The pen has been lightly used and is presented in overall excellent condition – there are some very light marks on one point around the barrel, where the cap has been screwed on (often found on the 1912 pens). The pen has just returned from being serviced by Montblanc, in Hamburg, and the paperwork will be supplied to the purchaser.

The 1912 pens have now been discontinued and have a very loyal following! Modelled on one of the first Simplo safety filler pens, these have a fantastic two stage mechanism, where you can twist to hide or reveal the nib, then gently pull the piston cone and turn to active the piston filling mechanism.

The 14k medium (this was swapped from a fine at first purchase) nib is a delight and these Heritage nibs have a bounce to them which make them very enjoyable to write with.

The real star of the show is the mother of pearl lacquered snowcap logo, which sits proudly atop the pen.
