Montblanc Great Characters Miles Davis 1926 Limited Edition Fountain Pen – SEALED

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Montblanc Great Characters Miles Davis 1926 Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box (including outers – the blank outer has a lot of storage marks) and stamped booklet – confirming first purchase on 17th May 2017. The pen remains sealed in its plastic pouch and is presented in new condition. Only 1926 were produced (his year of birth) and this is number 1501.

This Great Characters Edition honours one of the most famous and respected jazz musicians of all time, Miles Dewey Davis. This limited edition version really is a stunning writing instrument, which is inspired by the shape of a trumpet, with it being further emphasised by the finger buttons on the clip. The blue cone is a nod to his famous album “Kind of Blue”. The engravings on the barrel are linked to the evolution of post-Second World War American Jazz.

The cap features trumpet engravings while the shape of the cone stems from the special ‘Heim’ mouthpiece he used for playing.

This is a piston filling pen, so bottled ink is your weapon of choice. The pen is fitted with a medium 18k rhodium plated nib, which features his iconic silhouette.
