Montblanc Great Characters Mahatma Gandhi Limited Edition Rollerball Pen UNUSED

1 in stock

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this legendary Montblanc Great Characters Mahatma Gandhi 3000 Limited Edition Rollerball Pen, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box (including outer) and its stamped booklet – confirming first purchase on 10th March 2010. The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition (the protective tape remains on the grip section) – we’ve lightly polished the silver elements, but left a little of the patina, as many customers like this. There are a few very light marks to the inner lining of the presentation box. Only 3000 examples were produced and this is number 0419.

The Great Characters series has seen many famous names honoured by Montblanc and the Mahatma Gandhi is one of the most sought-after. The design of the pen is inspired by the symbol of India’s independence and Gandhi’s actions, the spinning wheel. The lacquered finish on the barrel and cap recalls the structure of cotton. The trim is crafted from sterling silver and the woven design symbolises the thread, with the mandarin garnet representing the orange in the Indian flag.

The pen is fitted with a new rollerball refill. If you wanted to use it as a fineliner, then you’d simply have to purchase the relevant refill – these are widely available online.

The important details are as follows…

– New Refill

– Virtually As New Condition

– Limitation Number: 0419 / 3000

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
