Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Great Characters Homage to The Great Gatsby Special Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and unstamped booklet. The pen has never been used and is presented in as new condition – the M sticker, denoting a medium nib, remains on the cone.

The Great Characters series has seen many famous names and faces honoured and The Great Gatsby is the latest release. Taking its inspiration from F.Scott Fitzgerald’s novel of the same name, which was first published in 1925.

The main character Jay Gatsby, was a mysterious millionaire, who wanted to regain the affections of Daisy Buchanan. The shimmering barrel reflects the lights of the high-rise buildings. The fluorescent Montblanc snowcap glows in the dark. The clip is shaped like a money clip and Jay Gatsby’s initials are represented in a gold-coated rhomboidal design. The cone gives reference to the screw cap of a hip flask with the rings being a nod to the American flag.

The pen is fitted with a 14k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
