Montblanc Great Characters Albert Einstein 3000 Limited Edition Fountain Pen – Serviced by MB November 2021 including new EF Nib

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this legendary Montblanc Great Characters Albert Einstein 3000 Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box and book of quotes. The pen has recently returned (November 2021) from being serviced by Montblanc in Hamburg, where the nib was also swapped from a medium to an extra fine (the paperwork will be supplied to the purchaser). Only 3000 examples were produced and this is number 2632. The pen has been regularly used, but is still presented in overall very good condition – it’s offered at a very special price due to some small marks on the cap (especially at the top) and piston cone (shown in the photos).

The Great Characters series has seen many famous names honoured by Montblanc and the Albert Einstein is arguably the most sought-after. The platinum-plated body is engraved with his most famous formulas. Platinum-plated lines cluster around the cap in a grid-like pattern and these depict the curvature of space-time. The dark-blue background reflects the depth of the infinite universe.

The pen is fitted with an 18k extra fine nib, which features an engraving of the element named after him – einsteinium. It’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
