Montblanc George Bernard Shaw Writers Limited Edition Set – FP, BP, MP – UNUSED

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Limited Edition George Bernard Shaw Fountain Pen, Ballpoint Pen and Mechanical Pencil Set, which comes with its book style box (including outer) and stamped information booklet – confirming first purchase on 19th August 2014. The set has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition. Only 4000 sets were produced and all three writing instruments have the limitation number 1472.

Every year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2008 it was George Bernard Shaw, the Irish freethinker. The pen is inspired by the character Eliza Doolittle from his most famous play Pygmalion. Just as Eliza, a poor flower girl, is brought up to be an aristocratic lady, so the platinum trim on the pen is replaced more and more towards the cap by the opulent dark green of the precious resin.

The beautiful deep marbled green represents the lush fields that Shaw left behind in Ireland. This is one of the most eye-catching of all the Writers Editions and will be a fine addition to any collection.

The fountain pen is fitted with a glorious 18k medium nib with a fine engraving of a flower. Being a piston filler, your choice here is bottled ink. The ballpoint is fitted with a new refill and the pencil is fitted with 0.7mm leads.
