Thanks very much for looking at our listing for thi Montblanc Dostoevsky Writers Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its book style Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and information booklet (the back page has been removed). The pen has barely been used and is presented in wonderful condition. Only 17000 fountain pens were produced and this is number 11424.

Every year since 1992 Montblanc have released a Writers Edition and in 1997 they chose the legendary Russian novelist and philosopher Fyodor Dostoevsky. The barrel of the pen features a delightful, lightly engraved pattern. The gold plated rings add a touch of brightness, which is enhanced further by the sapphire coloured gemstone found adorning the clip. We particularly like the solid blue tinged ink window, which is sadly missed from current Montblanc offerings. His signature can be found engraved on the cap.

The 18k medium nib features fine engravings reminiscent of the Russian empire. This is a piston filling pen, so bottled ink is your choice here – we’ve serviced the mechanism, so it’s extremely smooth.

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
