Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Friedrich Schiller Mechanical Pencil, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pencil has been very lightly used and is presented in fantastic condition. Only 4000 were produced and this is number 1435.
Ever year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2000 it was Friedrich Schiller, known for works including “The Robbers”, “Mary Stuart”, “Wallenstein” and of course “William Tell”.
The cap is crafted from amber, used to represent the changing of society in Schiller’s time. This, along with the gold-plated trim, evokes the style of Weimar classicism. Schillers signature can be found engraved on the cap.
The pencil is fitted with 0.7mm leads and this model doesn’t feature an eraser. It’s also important to note that this is a smaller writing instrument than many other Montblanc pencils.
The important details are as follows…
With every pencil that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
