Description
Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Friedrich Schiller Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box. The pen has been carefully used and is presented in overall lovely condition. Only 18000 were produced and this is number 09674. The pen was originally part of a set, hence the larger presentation box.
Ever year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2000 it was Friedrich Schiller, known for works including “The Robbers”, “Mary Stuart”, “Wallenstein” and of course “William Tell”.
The cap is crafted from amber, used to represent the changing of society in Schiller’s time. This, along with the gold-plated trim, evokes the style of Weimar classicism. Schillers signature can be found engraved on the cap.
The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
The important details are as follows…

- Montblanc Presentation Box
- Medium Nib
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
