Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Donation Series Arturo Toscanini Special Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box (including outer), information booklet, medal and stamped service guide – confirming first purchase on 13th May 2009. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition. The F sticker, confirming a fine nib, can still be found on the barrel.
Part of the Donation Series, this pen pays tribute to the legendary Italian conductor, Arturo Toscanini. His career spanned some seven decades and included more than one hundred operas and nearly 500 works for concert halls.
The clip is shaped like the strings and string holder of a cello and his signature can be found engraved on the cap band. The dates 1867 – 1957, signifying his year of birth and death are also engraved on the cap band.
The pen is fitted with a 14k fine nib and being a piston filler, your choice here is bottled ink. We particularly like the blue tinged ink window, which is a nod to historical offerings.

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
