Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Classic Black Gold Trim Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (one of the hinges is broken), including outer and stamped paperwork – confirming first purchase on 14th June 1990. The pen has been lightly used and is presented in excellent condition. The M sticker, confirming a medium nib, can still be found on the barrel.
The Classic range of pens fall into the category of many Montblanc offerings from the period of 1970-1990, where they have been forgotten by most people. It’s a huge shame as they offer fantastic value and are great writers. The barrel and cap on this one are crafted from black precious resin, with the trim being gold-plated.
The pen is fitted with what appears to be a gold-plated medium steel nib and is a cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
The important details are as follows…
– Excellent Condition
– Medium Nib
– Montblanc Presentation Box
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
