Montblanc Carlo Collodi Writers Limited Edition Fountain Pen – UNUSED

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Montblanc Carlo Collodi Writers Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its book style Montblanc presentation box and information booklet. The pen has never been used and is presented in wonderful condition. The F sticker confirming a fine nib, can still be found on the barrel on the fountain pen. Only 12000 were produced and this is number 11804. It’s offered at a fantastic price, as there is the name ‘Miller’ engraved on the clip.

Launched in 2011, as the yearly offering from the Montblanc Writers Edition, the Collodi is one of the most striking and recognisable pens from the series. With its skeletonised Champagne-tone gold-plated cap and dark-brown precious resin, it’s easy to see why this is one of the most sought-after and collectible writers editions.

The design of the Collodi writing instruments take their inspirations from his most famous work, Pinocchio. The skeletonised cap shows Pinocchio and his companions, the good fairy, the loyal cricket, the shady fox, the deceitful cat and the whale. The shape is a nod to his nose and the screw set in to the clip is symbolic of the joints of this famous marionette.

The 18k fine nib features a fine engraving of a cricket, which in the story is the embodiment of Pinnochio’s conscience. This is a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
