Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this legendary Montblanc Great Characters Albert Einstein Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and stamped booklet – confirming first purchase on 17th April 2014. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition. Only 3000 were produced and this is number 1269.

Released in 2013, as the third edition in the Great Characters series, the Albert Einstein has taken on legendary status. The cap is finished in a dark blue lacquer, which recalls the darkness of the universe – the grid design is inspired by his general theory of relativity, with the lines bending around the clip, as light would do when shaped by a distant star or Galaxy (known as the grativational lens).

The barrel and cone are engraved with his most important formulas, with the design managing to be both subtle but extremely eye-catching.

The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib, which is engraved with the element which bears his name, Einsteinium. It’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
