Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Graf von Faber-Castell Pen of the Year 2015 Palace of Sanssouci Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with a large Graf von Faber-Castell lacquered presentation box (including outer) and information booklet.. The pen has been lightly used and is presented in excellent condition. Only 1000 pens were produced and this is number 0943.

Graf von Faber-Castell are renowned for the quality and finish of their writing instruments and the Pen of the Year series is at the heart of this reputation. As the name suggests, each year they release a pen that commemorates a particular place or person and in 2015 it was the architecture of the “New Palace”, the Sanssouci Potsdam.

Built by Fredrick the Great as a celebration of his victory in the Seven Years’ War. The wall-coverings inside the palace were adorned with a multitude of precious stones and were considered unparalled throughout Europe.

The platinum-plated barrel is adorned with four green Silesian serpentines, with the top of the cap featuring a grey Russian, faceted quartz. The cap is also platinum-plated.

The pen features an 18k fine nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
