Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Graf von Faber-Castell Pen of the Year 2009 Horsehair Fountain Pen, which comes with its large lacquered presentation box (including outer – the label is for the 2008 edition) and information booklets. The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition. This pen is number 0788.

Graf von Faber-Castell are renowned for the quality and finish of their writing instruments and the Pen of the Year series is the flagship example of their craftsmanship. Since the series began various themes, materials and countries have been the focus – this particular pen is the 2009 release and it features a fascinating, hand-woven horsehair barrel. Each hair taken from a horse’s tail is individually interwoven to create the pattern. The trim and cap are platinum-coated.

The pen is fitted with an 18k fine nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
