Esterbrook Estie Oversize Gold Rush Prospector Black Fountain Pen – NEVER INKED

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Esterbrook Estie Oversize Gold Rush Prospector Black Fountain Pen, which comes with an izods presentation box. The pen has never been inked – it was a retail display pen, so some very light marks, but overall it’s an excellent example.

Esterbrook are one of the most famous names in American pen making, with a history that dates back to 1858. Having folded in 1971, they have now returned and are producing some great writing instruments.

This pen is from the Gold Rush series and this is the Prospector Black version. The cap and barrel are crafted from a wonderful black and gold-toned resin, which features Diamondcast – this is a process where the resin is mixed with gem-quality diamonds that are reclaimed chips from diamind cutters. The result is extremely eye-catching and the gold-plated trim works perfectly as a contrast.

The pen is fitted with a fine steel nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied) so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
