Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Delta Indigenous Peoples Maasai Vermeil Special Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with an izods presentation box. The pen has been lightly used and is presented in overall fantastic condition. The nib has just been tuned by the fantastic Noah Maasarani, so it’s a great writer. Only 1880 were produced and this is number 0477.
Delta require no introduction and since they stopped producing writing instruments, the hunger from fans and collectors for great examples of their writing instruments has increased dramatically!
This pen is from their Indigenous Peoples series, which which was launched in 2003 and ran until 2008. The Maasai was released in 2003 and this is the vermeil version – the colour palette and style reflects the plains of Tanganyika, Lake Victoria and the Indian Ocean. The design of the clip represents their distinctive walking staff.
The pen is a lever filler, so your choice here is bottled ink. It’s fitted with an 18k medium nib, which features an engraving of a Maasai warrior.
The important details are as follows…

Box: izods

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
