Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this rare Conway Stewart Churchill RDA Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with an izods presentation box. The pen has been regularly, but carefully used, and is presented in very good overall condition – there is the tiniest chip in the black lining on the inside of the cap (about 1mm).
The Churchill pens were always the flagship offerings from Conway Stewart and this version was created specifically for the Readers Digest Association – hence the R.D.A marking on the cap. Only 1500 were produced, but they weren’t individually numbered.
The barrel and cap are crafted from sterling silver (correctly hallmarked) and as such this is a substantial writing instrument.
The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
The important details are as follows…
Condition: Very Good
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
