Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Classic Pens LB3 Jupiter Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its presentation box (including outer) and certificate. Only 100 of these were produced and this is number 054. The pen was only dipped by the original supplying retailer and is presented in wonderful condition.

If you’re reading this, then you’ll likely already be familiar with the Classic Pens series. Formed in England in 1987, the founders Andreas Lambrou and Keith Brown, worked with leading manufacturers to create customised versions. This pen was the first that they made as their own exclusive model, rather than reworking an existing pen.

The LB series of pens began in 2003 and this is the third release from 2007. It’s the glorious and extremely rare Jupiter, which has been handcrafted by the legendary Paul Rossi. The barrel and cap are crafted from dark blue diffusion bonded acrylic, which is made by bonding 3mm sheets of acrylic togethr and then cutting across the grain.

The absolute highlight of this pen is the stunning inset design, which was produced by Paul Rossi and depicts Jupiter along with its moons and the stars. The planet itself is vibrantly represented in Classic Pen’s Kaen acrylic, with the striated lines being a nod to its gaseous swirls. The stars are depicted in 18k solid gold and sterling silver. Each pen was made by hand, so the exact placement of the inlays vary slightly from pen to pen.

The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
