If you’re not familiar with Pelikan then here’s a very quick introduction. The company was founded in the early part of the 20th Century and is most famous for its piston filling mechanism, used on their fountain pens. Produced in Germany, Pelikan pens are renowned for their classic design and fantastic quality.
The M7000 Majesty was released in 2008 to celebrate the 170th anniversary of Pelikan pens. The standard M7000 was produced in two special edition versions, but then there is this outstanding limited edition. The pen is constructed from sterling silver, which is then fully gold plated – the cap features the limitation number, with the top being adorned with three diamonds. The frieze around the top of the cap is based on the historic frieze found at original Pelikan factory in Hanover, Germany.
The pen is fitted with a beautiful 18k medium nib. The pen features the patented Pelikan piston filling system and by unscrewing the barrel, the huge ink reservoir can be seen.
This is a substantial pen, which is so elegantly detailed that we consider it to be of the most beautiful Pelikan limited editions. With only 170 pens having been produced, these are exceptionally rare and sought after.
