Montblanc Writers Limited Edition William Faulkner Fountain Pen. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition. Included is the complete set of boxes (including branded outer) and unstamped paperwork. The pen was originally purchased as an addition to a set, so the box is the larger set box (different limitation number on the cardboard outer). Only 16000 pens were produced and this is number 05893. The F sticker confirming a fine nib can still be found on the pen. This was part of an impressive private collection from a customer of ours in mainland Europe.
Ever year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2006 this was William Faulkner – he was one of the most significant American novelists of the 20th century. In his more than 50 books, novels, short stories and anthologies – he described again and again the beauty and tragedy of his homeland by the Mississippi River.
With the constrast between the brown, grey, green tinged resin (interestingly every pen seems to vary slightly in shade) and the platinum trim, in my opinion these are some of the most striking and handsome Montblanc pens available. With their domed cap and cream snow flake, it also gives a nod to historical offerings from Montblanc. The 18k fine nib is adorned with a bi-plane, which reflects Faulkner’s love of aerobatics.
The important details are as follows…
• 18K Medium Nib – decorated by a fine engraving of a bi-plane
• Montblanc Piston Filling System
• Complete Set of Boxes and Paperwork
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller.
