Montblanc Meisterstuck Solitaire AG925 ‘Pure Silver’ Classique Fountain Pen, which comes with the rare Solitaire presentation set, including signed booklet and three pen black leather pouch. The stamped service guide confirms first purchase on 11th April 2003.
The overall condition is very good, with the pen having been used regularly but carefully over the years. The pen is fitted with a glorious 18k Oblique Broad (OB) nib and according to the previous owner the pen was only used a handful of times after the nib was replaced by Montblanc (it originally had a medium).
As mentioned, this particular pen is the much rarer solitaire ‘Pure Silver’ version, which was only produced for a limited period of time. The barrel and cap are AG925 sterling silver (correct hallmarks included). In my opinion these solitaire pens elevate the usual look of the standard resin offerings to another level. The intricate detailing is beautiful and the all silver appearance really does make for a sleek looking writing appearance that manages to be both classic and contemporary at the same time.
The relevant serial number and Germany markings can be found on the clip. Also on the clip ring is the word METAL which was used by Montblanc for Doue and Solitaire pens.
Being a Classique, this is a cartridge / converter (supplied) pen, so you have the best of both worlds.
