Montblanc Meisterstuck Bordeaux 146 LeGrand Fountain Pen (unboxed). The pen has been carefully used and is presented in lovely condition. The gold trim is bright and the Bordeaux precious resin exhibits a deep glow.
We’ve always been a huge admirer of the Bordeaux resin pens and sadly as these were only produced for a limited amount of time, firstly in the early 80’s and then for a second time in the 1990’s – they’re now very difficult to find, with most examples looking pretty tired.
This pen is relatively straightforward to date as it features the earlier style, shorter serial number and Germany markings – these put this pen at around 1992. The 146 is a piston filling pen, which means that bottled ink is your weapon of choice… if you’re looking for some colour inspiration then take a look at our website and you’ll find an amazing selection from the renowned Robert Oster.
We’ve personally serviced the piston filling mechanism, so it’s incredibly smooth and fills the ink reservoir as it should.
The important details are as follows…

– Serial Number and Germany markings present
