Montblanc Meisterstück 149 Andree Putman Fountain Pen Set, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box (including white outer) and stamped paperwork – confirming first purchase on 18th January 2005. The pen has never been used and as such is presented in virtually as new condition. The M sticker, confirming a medium nib, can still be found on the barrel. Only 4810 of these limited edition sets were produced and this is number 1901.
The Andree Putman Limited Edition was released in 2004 as part of the UNICEF / Montblanc Partnership and this is one of their “right to write” pens. Several renowned figures were chosen to design special cases for the 149 and this one is arguably the most desirable. The deep black lacquered box features the iconic Montblanc snowcap logo along with Putmans signature – inside the box you’ll find a bottle of Montblanc black ink and also a further lacquered tube, which holds the pen… there is a very small mark on this tube and it’s shown in the photos. Overall the lacquered presentation boxes are presented in wonderful condition.
These sets are now extremely difficult to find and the lacquered black presentation case and inner tube really are one of the most wonderful offerings that Montblanc have produced in recent years.

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
With these being rarely available, this represents a fantastic opportunity to purchase an unused example, at a great price.
