Montblanc Meisterstuck Gold Line 146 LeGrand Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box and unstamped paperwork. The pen has never been inked and is presented in close to as new condition – the gold trim is bright and the black precious resin has a deep shine. The B sticker confirming a 14k bi-tone broad nib can still be found on the barrel
This pen is particularly simple to date as it features one of the first, shorter serial numbers – these were also produced in a different font from the later examples.
As with other 146’s, this is a piston filler so bottled ink is your choice here. This really is a beautiful example and these earlier 146’s are a delight to write with.
The important details are as follows…
-14K Bi-Tone Broad Nib
– Serial Number and Germany markings present
– Montblanc Presentation Box
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
With a current retail price of £500, this represents a great opportunity to purchase a rarer example at a keen price.
