Montblanc Leo Tolstoy Writers Limited Edition Fountain Pen – only 9000 fountain pens were produced and this is number 5836. The pen was a gift which has never been used, as such the pen is in virtually as new condition. The stamped paperwork is included, confirming first purchase on 2nd December 2016.
This edition features the current style book box, which has been part of the Writers Edition packaging since the very beginning. These newer boxes now take the shape of a hardback book and come with a thick outer case.
Launched in 2015, as the yearly offering for the Montblanc Writers Edition, the Leo Tolstoy writing instruments are extremely impressive and richly detailed. One of the most famous Russian authors, he’s best known for ‘War and Peace’ and ‘Anna Karenina’. The hammered finish silver-coated barrel is a nod to his hard work in the fields – moving back to a simple life. The choice of blue and grey reflect the colours often found in his studio, but also his choice for the colour of his book covers.
The 18k medium rhodium plated nib is engraved with his family crest. This is a piston filling pen, so bottled ink is your weapon of choice.
The important details are as follows…
Condition: Virtually As New
Limitation Number 5836 / 9000
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
With these no longer being available, this represents a fantastic opportunity to purchase an unused example, from a trusted seller.
