Montblanc Jonathan Swift Writers Limited Edition Fountain Pen. Only 12,800 were produced (including sets) and this one has the serial number 11681. The pen has never been used and as such is presented in virtually as new condition. It comes with it’s original book style presentation box, including the branded outer. The stamped information booklet confirms original purchase from Selfridges. The M sticker confirming a medium nib can still be found on the barrel.
Launched in 2012, as the yearly offering for the Montblanc Writers Edition. The Writers Edition Jonathan Swift pays homage to the legendary British-Irish writer who is best known for ‘Gullivers Travels’. The black precious resin features inlays representing the ropes used to tie Gulliver on the beach on Lilliput Island. The cap is shaped like Gulliver’s tricorn hat and displays the signature of Jonathan Swift. A platinum-plated clip is shaped like the staircase the mayor of Lilliput Island needed to climb to reach Gulliver. The 18K rhodium plated medium nib features the army of Lilliput marching between Gulliver’s legs. The ivory coloured snowcap logo sits atop the cap and in my opinion always gives a more pleasing look than the ‘white’ version.
