Montblanc Writers Limited Edition George Bernard Shaw Fountain Pen, which comes with its book style box (including outer) and stamped paperwork – confirming first purchase on 21st March 2005. The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition – the M sticker confirming a fine nib can still be found on the pen. Only 16000 fountain pens were produced (including sets) and this is number 12607.
Ever year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2008 it was George Bernard Shaw, the Irish freethinker. The pen is inspired by the character Eliza Doolittle from his most famous play Pygmalion. Just as Eliza, a poor flower girl, is brought up to be an aristocratic lady, so the platinum trim on the pen is replaced more and more towards the cap by the opulent dark green of the precious resin.
The beautiful deep marbled green represents the lush fields that Shaw left behind in Ireland. This is one of the most eye-catching of all the Writers Editions and will be a fine addition to any collection. As mentioned, the pen is fitted with a glorious 18k medium nib with a fine engraving of a flower.

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
