Montblanc Friedrich Schiller Writers Limited Edition Fountain Pen. It comes with its book style Montblanc presentation box (including outer) and stamped paperwork – confirming first purchase on 8th November 2002. The pen has never been used and as such is presented in wonderful condition. The M sticker confirming a medium nib, can still be found on the barrel.
Launched in 2000, as the yearly offering from the MontblancWriters Edition, the Freidrich Schiller is one of the most recognisable pens in the series… with the amber cap working brilliantly when set against the black precious resin. Friedrich Schiller is a name that most will be familiar with, but if not then you’d certainly be familiar with his works, which included… “The Robbers”, “Mary Stuart”, “William Tell” and “Wallenstein”. The cap features granules of amber combined with amber hued resin – the gold trim and Schiller’s signature add further luxury to the overall feel.
The 18k fine nib features the correct markings for a Schiller which are 2000 for the year it was released and also a fine engraving of a crossbow, giving a nod to his most famous work “William Tell”. Only 18,000 pen were produced (including sets) and this is number 17485
The important details are as follows…
Number: 17485 / 18000
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
This pen is ready for many years of use or simply to betucked away as part of a wider collection. The value of the Writers Edition pens appears to be on a steady increase, so this represents a lovely opportunity to purchase an unused version at a very favourable price
